What is Clubhouse?

  Clubhouse is one of the fastest-growing apps out there. It has gone from an initial 1,500 users to over 2 million in a year! It is audio only and enables you to listen to conversations between people who might be of interest to you. You can also take part in discussions if you feel brave enough!   In part, its vast increased uptake of late has been due to a conversation that Elon Musk took part in that attracted thousands of people.   It is invite-only, which gives it a feeling of exclusivity. Once you join, you get a limited amount of invites to dole out yourself.   Clubhouse itself consists of conversation rooms. When you join, you let the app know your interests, and it suggests rooms they think you will be interested in.   Once you're in a room, you can simply sit back and listen to the conversation taking place, or you can participate in the chat. You do this by raising your hand, and the speaker can then choose whether to let you into the discussion or not.   The bigger your following, the more likely it is that you will be approved to participate in a conversation.   Whether you are a business, influencer or just want to get more embedded in the Clubhouse community, there are several ways you can build your following.   Here are four ways to grow your following;  

*Build a good Bio

  If you want to create an excellent first impression, then your bio's first two lines are super important. These two lines appear first when people search on the app, so you want it to stand out. The more intriguing your bio is, the more followers you will gain.  

*Create your own Room or Club

  Clubhouse enables you to create rooms and clubs on topics of your choice, an ideal way for a business to spread its reach. By providing conversations on relevant issues, you can quickly build your reputation in your chosen field of expertise and attract other members, a useful way to network or find potential customers.  

*Make Company Announcements

  If you are a business and are trying to make a splash and build a following on Clubhouse, then announcing news or promoting product launches is one way you can create some hype. Create a room around a product launch or put together a club and invite other like-minded business users to join. It is also a great way to get feedback and may help you find potential investors.  
 

*Invite the right people

  When you join Clubhouse, you get one invite to use. After a few days, you may get some more, but it won't be that many even then. Therefore, it is essential to invite people you think will find it genuinely useful for their business or general networking.   Don't ask people who will hover on the edges and not take part.   On the surface, Clubhouse may seem like just another social networking app, but if you use it wisely, it could prove to be a handy tool for both networking and building your business profile.
